Response:  I would tell my friend to be honest and confess to their partner. In Fences, Troy’s affair hurts his whole family because he keeps it a secret. If I stayed quiet, it might protect my friend for a little while, but it would likely hurt everyone even more in the end. Explanation:  Being loyal doesn’t mean covering up something that could hurt someone else. I would encourage my friend to take responsibility and try to fix things before the situation gets worse.
