  Response :  While writing my similes and metaphors, I realized they helped me explain my struggles and growth in a different way. Using figurative language made it easier to share feelings that are hard to say directly. It also showed how much I’ve changed and learned over time. Summary : I  used similes and metaphors to describe my struggles and personal growth. Reflection :  This activity helped me see my own strength and how I keep going even when things are hard.

Prompt  Response :  Over the break, I spent most of my time resting and staying at home. I watched movies, spent time with my family, and caught up on sleep. I also took time to organize my things and relax before school started again. Summary :  My break was calm and mostly focused on resting and spending time at home. Reflection :  The break helped me feel less stressed and more prepared to return to school. I feel refreshed and ready to get back into my routine.

Prompt: Even if you have not presented yet, how did participating as a listener, note-taker, or responder during the Interactive Oral help you prepare for your own discussion?

Prompt Response : Participating as a listener and note-taker during the Interactive Oral helped me see how others organized their ideas and responded to questions. Listening to different viewpoints made me more confident and better prepared for my own discussion. Summary : For me , observing and taking notes helped with understanding expectations and gaining confidence to present. Reflection : Being involved as a listener helped me learn from others and feel more prepared to participate myself.

Prompt: In the spirit of Valentine’s Day week, describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about (a friend, family member, or significant person in your life).

prompt response :  My idea of a perfect day with someone I care about is a simple, relaxed day. We would talk, eat together, and spend time doing small things like watching a movie or going for a walk. Being together and enjoying each other’s company would be what makes the day special. summary : The response explains that a perfect day for me is about spending calm, meaningful time with someone important. Reflection :  This shows that simple moments can be the most meaningful when shared with someone you care about.

Prompt: What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

  Prompt Response :  The most challenging part of working in a group is making sure everyone contributes equally. In one group assignment, some members did not do their part, which left a few of us rushing to finish the project at the last minute. This caused stress and the final result was not as strong as it could have been. Summary :  The project did not go as planned because of poor communication and uneven effort among group members. Reflection :  From this experience, I learned the importance of clear communication and setting expectations early. Now, I try to check in with my group more often and speak up if problems come up so the work can be shared fairly.

Prompt: Describe a real moment in your life that felt like the beginning of a powerful story. Tell what happened, and why it felt like a turning point in your life?

  Prompt Response :  A turning point in my life was the first day I walked into a new school not knowing anyone. I felt nervous and out of place, but I decided to introduce myself to someone sitting alone. We started talking, and by the end of the day, I didn’t feel so alone anymore. Summary :  This moment mattered because it pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me face my fear of new situations. Reflection :  It taught me that taking small risks can lead to new friendships and confidence, and that change can turn into something positive.
